Hi Lori,

try calling mapView.getOverlay(layerName), then you can do whatever you 
want with the layer. If you need to access the MapView from an Activity 
different from the Map Activity, you have a singleton 
ActivityBundlesManager that contains the current instance of MapView.

To avoid the "black screen" issue, use a thread to load the KML, in fact 
this is something we should do by default, I'll open a ticket about that.
