What is a federated forge?
A federated forge is an existing repository of open-source software that exchanges information (metadata) about its open-source software projectswith the Joinup platform, creating a pan-European federation of open-source software repositories. Joinup provides “federated” access to these open-source software projects from a single point of access, giving more visibility to the external repository and its open-source software projects.
