A Registry of Base Registries may be represented as a public service that is managed by a public organization. There are several standard vocabularies we can reuse to model organisations, services, data, and legal resources:
- Core Public Service Vocabulary (cpsv)
- DCAT-AP and W3C DCAT (dcat)
- European Legislation Identifier (eli)
- Schema.org (schema)
|Registry Service||A Registry Service is a public service that creates, maintains and/or manages Base Registries or a Registry of Base Registries.||cpsv:PublicService|
|Registry Catalogue||A catalogue or repository that lists the Datasets (Master Data and other resources) managed and provided by a Registry Service.||dcat:Catalog|
|Public Organisation||A Public Organisation is the responsible Agent for the delivery of a Public Service.||cv:PublicOrganization|
|Rule||A Rule is a document that sets out the specific guidelines or procedures followed by the Registry. It may include the requirements of the information managed and the services provided by the Registry.||cpsv:Rule|
|Legal Resource||A Legal Resource refers to legislation, policy or policies that lie behind the Rules that defines the governance of a Registry Service.||eli:LegalResource|
|Contact Point||The contact information for a Registry Service.||schema:ContactPoint|
|Data Resource||Datasets or Data Services included in the Registry Catalogue.||[Issue #01]|
Registry Service and Registry Catalogue would be mandatory, and Public Organisation, recommended.
This model does not include in depth metadata about the entities, nor details about the data stored or managed by the service, and listed on the catalogue [Issue #01].
