Hello!

When i try to start http://webstart.buergerkarte.at/mocca/ out of my Firefox 3.5.8 (Popup is opening where i can choose "Open with: OpenJDK Java 6 Web Start) the screen with Bürgerkartenumgebung appears, and some files are downloading but then the window disappears.

So i saved the file mocca.jnlp on my disk and i started it from there (starting nautilus from console, double klick on mocca.jnlp in nautilus) - here i get also the screen Bürgerkartenumgebung, but it disappears, and on the console i get this message:
---------------------------
java.lang.NullPointerException

So i downloaded the newest version from http://egovlabs.gv.at/frs/download.php/208/BKUWebStart-1.2.13.zip

When i extract the zip and start it from nautilus i get this error:
---------------------------

So what is the problem here? is it my system (Ubuntu 9.10 amd64)? I want to do my Lohnsteuerausgleich but i can't start the app on https://finanzonline.bmf.gv.at/ - the java-app there tells me: "Fehler: Es konnte keine PC/SC-Schnittstelle gefunden werden"

If i choose Lokale BKU i'm getting redirected to: https://127.0.0.1:3496/https-security-layer-request :(

Also i downloaded and tried trustDesk Basic 2.8.1 for Linux ( http://update.buergerkarte.at/download/Linux/tdb281_x86_32bit.tgz ) - this app finds on the PC/SC Schnittstelle ( GemPlus GemPC Twin 00 00 ) the reader - but it finds no CT API - so any suggestions how i can do my lohnsteuerausgleich?

OpenJDK not supported. Use Sun Java (from Ubuntu's multiverse repository) instead. Or tell us about your experience with IBM Java. For questions like these, please refer to forum.buergerkarte.at

please post the exact version of OpenJDK/IcedTea. The problem seems to be related to unsupported tray icon (which seems to work with a current version of openJDK, however)

ok, i did a $ java -version java version "1.6.0_0" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.6.1) (6b16-1.6.1-3ubuntu1) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode) I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 amd64. I will try to test the 32bit Ubuntu 9.10 OpenJDK also, will post the results here...

> OpenJDK not supported please could you shortly explain, why this has to rely on the closed-source java version? look like a problem with the application, not with OpenJDK.
