On Tuesday 1 December, the second edition of the ‘Feiltrinn’ (mistakes or missteps) conference will take place in Oslo, Norway. The focus of this one-day conference is government modernisation, writes Norway’s Agency for Public Management and eGovernment, DIFI. “To develop new solutions, we must dare to try, fail and learn from the mistakes we make, and share these lessons with others”, the agency writes.
DIFI has invited Swedish university researcher Johan Quist, from Karlstad University, to present a survey on the demand and delivery of eServices supplied by Sweden’s central social services organisation Försäkringskassan, and the country’s Tax Agency. “The survey shows that although they are good at delivering the targets, they do not necessarily deliver the services that create value for citizens or customers”, DIFI writes.
The conference program also includes presentations by specialists such as Øyvind Kvalnes, Associate Professor at BI Norwegian Business School, and Mona Skaret, a director at Innovation Norway, a government organisation promoting innovation and business development.
DIFI is organising the conference together with SoCentral, an Oslo-based consultancy specialising in social innovation and economic sustainability.
