EU: Report on the First Southeast Europe eHealth Networking Conference

Description (short summary): This documentation constitutes the report on the First Southeast Europe (SEE) eHealth Networking Conference, which was held with the support of the Information Society and Media Directorate-General, European Commission and the Ministry of Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 3-4 September 2009, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the conference it became obvious that there is a need for further exchange of experiences about policy approaches, implementation strategies, change management and improvements achieved by the introduction of eHealth strategies in the participating countries and their impact on the structure, the performance and the results of their health care systems.

This report summarises the presentations and discussions around the sessions and covers experiences, ideas and contributions of representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey.
