Main objective of the project is to create new for Lithuanian citizens and employers. After implementation of new system (e.DBirza), clients of labour exchange will gain remote access to larger number of online services. The new information system will be based on web technologies. New backend application is to be created, which will be accessible from mobile workplaces of labour exchange employees. On the other hand, this system will be open for everyone, who wants to find or propose a new job.

Lessons learnt

1. The project was planned in 2006 (i.e. two years ago), so the system development strategy and costs evaluation have changed a lot since then. Feasibility study had to be renewed in order to get the full picture of the current situation.

2. Supporting documents which are to be supplied with an application for financing had to be revised, because the data used in them was outdated.

3. Some new have been implemented in Labour Exchange's website during the last few years. There was a need to revise the former plans in order to propose additional services for the clients as the result of the project.
