Xavier, it is a pity that the news in your second link doesn't allow to add any comment...

Francisco,

Comments have always been permanently disabled on this "democracy advocates" website :)

Francesco, It's a pity as well the press release on europa doesn't allow comment either...

Lionel, not sure I understand your point, but if it is than any website that doesn't allow comment is undemocratic, I think you are a bit harsh on quite a few, including most of the European institutions sites ;)

Dear colleagues

Thank you very much for your interest to give your opinion directly on the ECI Campaign’s website, feel free to comment on:

http://www.citizens-initiative.eu/?p=1466

and also here, where the press release is posted as well:

www.facebook.com/citizens.initiative

If I may shortly introduce myself, I am director of the campaign for a citizen-friendly designed European citizens’ initiative right, working on the ECI over the past ten years starting at the Convention on the Future of Europe when we campaigned and succeeded in close cooperation with a few convention members to place the ECI into primary law. Now the big challenge evidently is to make the ECI a real accessible instrument and you apparently are the people who can contribute to do so – my respect for your engagement!

I would very much appreciate your feedback. Francisco, we have met already at your place. May I ask about you Lionel Antunes, are you a colleague of Francisco at the EC in Luxembourg or do you belong to one of the running ECIs?

Best wishes,

Carsten Berg
