TripleCheck announced the availability of a new tool for open source compliance. This software is made available at no cost for users and will be officially launched during FOSDEM 2014 on the 1st of February in Brussels, one of the biggest open source events in Europe.
The tool enables users to create SPDX documents, a format designed by the Linux Foundation for expressing open source licenses in way interoperable between different vendors. For public administrations this means increased means for assuring licensing transparency during the procurement stage of open source software.
