The main objective of the project is the development of a Generic and Interoperable Notification Services (GENIS) to support the State Aid Notification Process in a future-proof, scalable and flexible way.
The main purpose of doing that is to improve the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of the stakeholders (different Commission Services, SG, Member States administrations). GENIS provides IT solutions to support the State Aid Notification Process in a more complete and better way than before, while keeping a significant level of data security, confidentiality and System reliability.
In addition to sharing the objectives of the ISA programme, GENIS complies with the several principles that have been recommended by the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) to European Public Services such as:
- Security and privacy,
- Multilingualism,
- Administrative simplification,
- Transparency,
- Preservation of information,
- Openness,
- Reusability,
- Effectiveness and efficiency.
In order to successfully fulfill these principles, the project identifies business' problems and opportunities of the State Aid Notification Process that are common, generic and cross-policy area to the Commission and Member States.
