The 4th International Conference on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) will be organised by the Government of Valencia on 3-5 December 2008. The conference aims to demonstrate that the integration of Open Source technologies could offer professional solutions in the fields of GIS and Spatial Data Infrastructure.

The organisers write their aim is not to go over what has already been done: " But to build the future of gvSIG together. We want people to discover us and we want GIS people to talk to each other, to exchange ideas and opinions, so that gvSIG keeps growing".
