The government of Luxembourg aims to make an inventory of policies on IT security and data protection in the EU Member States. The study is one of the priorities of Luxembourg’s presidency of the EUPAN network, an informal network of European public administration representatives.

The study is to describe the challenges of delivering eGovernment services, and show how these are met by a number of EU Member States. The study will consider the principles of trust and privacy, and share best practices in the areas of technology, organisation and legal context.

The study was announced at the 64th EUPAN DG - TUNED Meeting. This meeting took place on 11 and 12 June 2015 in Riga (Latvia). EUPAN is an informal network of the Directors General responsible for public administration in both the Member States and the European Commission.

The inventory and analysis is to be done by Luxembourg’s Centre for information technology (CTIE).
