The fifth edition of LinuxDays is the first event entirely dedicated to open source solution ever organised in the French speaking part of Switzerland. The event will take place at the Varembé Conference Center in Geneva, from 3rd to 5th June 2009. Its aim is to encourage the use of open source solutions amongst companies and organisations.
During this three-days event, presentations will focus on open source applications in four main tracks: public administration, education, business, and grid computing. Participants would also have the opportunity to attend various workshops aiming to apply the theoretical concepts illustrated during the conferences.
On 5 June, Michel Rocard, a French MEP struggling against software licences, will present his opinions on the subject.
