On 30 March 2021, the 2021 edition of Open Source 101 will be held virtually. The event is a one-day conference covering the basics of open source software, open technologies and the open web. It is targeted at developers, technologists, students and decision makers. The event includes TED-style keynote presentations and track sessions from industry experts.
Open Source 101
Open Source 101 is an annual event covering the basics of open source software. Last year, 972 people registered from 40 different countries. The audience included academic, software developers, designers and programmers, database and system administrators, engineers, scientists, IT managers and others. The presentations will cover some of the following topics:
- Open source licencing
- Open source governance
- Open source community engagement
- Best practices for ensuring accessibility
- Open source technologies
- And more!
The presentations will last for 10, 45 and 90 minutes and will be delivered live between 10am and 5pm Eastern Time. Online registration is compulsory and free of charge.
