Chrysanthi is the deputy head of the Reusable Solutions Unit in the Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) of the European Commission. Part of the portfolio she manages includes the Open Source Strategy for the European Commission as well as the EU-FOSSA project which aims at improving the security of Open Source Software.
Chrysanthi finished Computer Science studies at the University of Crete – Greece. During her studies she worked as a research assistant in the Foundation of Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). After receiving her MSc degree, Chrysanthi worked for many years as a software engineer in the Greek private and public sector as well as an informatics teacher in Greek public high-schools.
She joined the European Commission in 2006 and has been involved since then in a wide range of IT projects both for the Commission as well as for the Member States.
