If you are interested in the Sharing & Reuse Awards and haven’t had time to enter the contest, the good news is that you now have extra time to submit your solution! The deadline has been extended until 12 March 2019 to accommodate all innovative and impactful IT solutions.
The contest is open to public administrations from EU Member States, EFTA, or EU candidate countries. This year’s edition will reward exceptional work in the development of open source software or shared IT services. Eligibility and evaluation criteria
The solution’s confirmed reuse by at least one public administration or its collaborative development is one of most important eligibility criterion. In addition, the solution has to be published on Joinup. Please note that your solution does not have to be published on Joinup at the time of submission. It is important, however, that you contact the Joinup Support Team before the submission deadline (12 March 2019) expressing your request to publish your solution, and they will give you detailed instructions on how to do it.
The Evaluation Committee and the Jury will assess all eligible entries on the following criteria:
- Solution design and governance
- Impact/extent of reuse
- Sustainability
- Innovation or user-centricity
Awards Ceremony
The winning team will receive €15,000 and the runner-up €10,000 in each category. In addition, 16 shortlisted solutions will have the opportunity to present their project at the prestigious Sharing & Reuse Conference in Bucharest, Romania on 11 June 2019.
