INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP: COMBINING DIGITAL AND CO-DESIGN APPROACHES FOR DESIGN INNOVATION IN URBAN ECONOMIES

 

ABOUT

  Co-creation through design-enabled innovation, open innovation, and the use of digital technologies are transforming urban environments towards more sustainable futures.   This workshop aims to bring together various stakeholder groups (citizens, researchers, designers, practitioners and policy makers) to discuss ideas and collaborative actions for a better uptake, further enhancement and up scaling of design enabled Innovation to support the growth of cyclical economies in urban environments, fostering the linkages between research, strategy, policy and practice.   During the workshop, you will have the possibility to discuss and interact in groups on various topics focusing on: urban environments (Data-driven innovation and analytics, Innovation Generation in urban environment, City’s Innovation Generation Capacity, Smart Cities, opportunities and challenges, Innovation processes in cities, design enabled innovation strategy, import replacement), Business models innovation, new form of economy (i.e. digital economy, circular economy, urban economies, bio-economy), design thinking, co-creation and co-production.   Participants will have the opportunity to network with relevant stakeholders, co-innovators and potential partners for future initiatives, as well as to gain insight in visions, technology trends and foresight on future urban living innovation generation and transformation.
