The ELISE Energy Pilot has been invited to present its use cases at the final conference of the CitiEnGov project https://www.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/CitiEnGov.html, held in Ferrara (IT) on 3 and 4 of April 2019.
The project aimed to improve territorial based low-carbon energy planning strategies and policies supporting climate change mitigation. The main project result, presented at the final conference, was the improvement of public authorities’ capacities to define and implement low carbon energy planning and strategies. Seven pilot actions have been tested in seven countries, targeted to citizens, schools, and municipalities.
In the 4 panels of the conference, namely i) Energy-related data and buildings, ii) Public authorities as urban and energy planners, iii) Raising awareness about energy efficiency and RES use, and iv) Sustainable public lighting system and mobility solutions – the latter chaired by the JRC - the many local-level best practices presented showed the need of a European approach to harmonise the several energy data flows involved and to improve energy data interoperability, sharing and accessibility, which is exactly the direction addressed by the ELISE Energy Pilot.
