The French government is calling for input for its 2017-2019 Open Government action plan. The plan will include new themes such as healthcare, inclusion, housing, and education.
The 2017-2019 Open Government Action Plan is being prepared by the government modernisation unit (Secretariat-General for Government Modernisation, SGMAP). This week, on Tuesday, SGMAP is hosting a public workshop, where it will present a draft of the plan. The final text is expected in September.
The agency aims to increase access to open government data and to create digital goods and services. The action plan should also get more citizens involved, to increase openness, accountability and innovation of public policy.
In addition to several public workshops - titled ‘Open Ministry’ - SGMAP is planning two online consultations on the action plan, from 15 March to 15 April and from 15 June to 15 July.
The action plan will build on the results of the Open Government Partnership 2016 conference (OGP 2016 Global Summit), which took place in Paris in December.
