The “INSPIRE in practice” platform is going live!
INSPIRE in practice is a collaborative platform that allows for the bringing together of different players involved in INSPIRE in a single place to facilitate the exchange of practical knowledge while leveraging synergies amongst stakeholders. More specifically, it aims to support the sharing of experience and expertise between INSPIRE implementers, software solution providers and end-user application developers. The platform helps to showcase each stakeholder’s piece of knowledge, through contributions related to either annecdotal experiences of implementing INSPIRE or by registering tools or SDI-powered apps on the platform.
The work is the result of the development of the prototype ARE3NA Re3ference Platform that helps to define and enable location interoperability across Europe.
To put ‘INSPIRE in Practice’ and help promote the platform, we are launching the Let’s put INSPIRE in Practice game. Its goal is to crowdsource as much practical INSPIRE knowledge as possible.
By the end of the 2016 INSPIRE Conference, the most active players in the game will be rewarded with small prizes. We will also award special prizes for the best implementation example, the best solution and the best app, with help from registered platform users.
Who can participate?
Everybody is welcome to participate in the game; no matter whether you are an implementer, a solution provider or an app developer!
How to play?
2. Log in to the platform with your ECAS account. If you do not have one yet, just follow the link.
3. Accept to start playing the game, read the rules and earn your first points.
4. Add relevant content (tools, apps or parts of an implementation example) to earn additional points.
5. Provide feedback to get extra points and ‘like’ other content across the platform to help select the winners.
Remember! The more content you add, the more points you will earn and the more chances you will have to win one of our INSPIREd prizes!
This is just the beginning. We are planning a series of webinars over the coming months to explain more about how to use the platform and share more content.
