The Information Society Development Committee has posted a new video introducing the State Information Resources Interoperability Platform (SIRIP).

SIRIP is the Lithuanian interoperability platform that offers an easy way for public authorities to design, deliver and manage e-services. Many e-services can be streamlined and made available in a user friendly one-stop-shop portal to citizens, business entities and civil servants.

State of play report

The State of play report provides an overview of the main developments in alignment of National Interoperability Frameworks across Europe with the European Interoperability Framework and paves the way for continued and enhanced monitoring and sharing of best practices and experiences.

Updates from Member States

Up to now, 14 countries out of 34 have replied either with updated information (10) or with a request for clarifications or support from the NIFO team.

Some highlights:

  • During the previous period, ten countries (Belgium, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Spain and Sweden) have been scored and will be uploaded on the NIFO Community after final validation by the country.
  • Cyprus is in the process of the validation of a new NIF document which is expected to be published in the coming months.
  • Conference calls were organised to reply to the clarifications of the Czech Republic and Italy.
  • The analytical model for Norway has been updated with information from desk research.

Open World Forum (30/10 – 01/11/2014)

The Open World Forum is the first European summit to gather political representatives, decision-makers and experts, in one place, in order to debate the technological, economic and social impacts that the Free and Open-Source technologies bring to market. The forum was first held in 2008, and is now organized annually in Paris, France, with more than 200 speakers coming from 40 countries, and a global audience that was 2200-people strong in 2013.
