Upon the design of a new legislation that brings changes to existing digital environments, especially at a trans-European level, policymakers have to choose which would be the most effective and efficient approach for implementation. In this decision they may want to consider, among other aspects…

DISCUSSIONCreated: 25/03/2021[Done 1.4] - Model the transposition process as an activity
A transposition could be modeled as a subclass of activity. It is outside of a single LegislativeProcess (it is not a subactivity) The transposition has : link to EU directive being transposed consists of multiple legislative processes has a deadline for the transposition Source : mapping Jo-Lux to…
DISCUSSIONCreated: 14/12/2020[Done 1.4] - Broaden legislationprocess_id to LegislativeActivity
Swiss or Lux give IDs to events/activities
DISCUSSIONCreated: 14/12/2020[Done 1.4] - LegislativeActivity has "occured_at_stage_, but having an "activity_type" could be simpler
The stage describes the workflow, but sometimes the same type of activity can occur at multiple stages. And it might be easier to state the activity type than where it stands in the workflow. e.g. : "Opinion Request" can be a generic type to be used for multiple situations in the workflow
DISCUSSIONCreated: 14/12/2020Refine "has_external_id" to "has_parliament_id" and "has_governement_id'
In most if not all cases in Europe, the legislative process will have an ID at the parliament and an ID at the governement/executive. Our property "has_external_id" could be refined with 2 subproperties to explicitely state which is the ID at the parliament and which is the ID at the governement…

DISCUSSIONCreated: 01/12/2020[Done 1.4] - Add "foresees_ensures_execution_of" in ELI_DL

DISCUSSIONCreated: 21/07/2020[Done 1.4] - extend the range of "foresees_based_on" to Work ?
From Jaroslaw : "It would be useful to extend the range of "foresees_based_on" to Work. It is possible that a piece of primary law is drafted at the same time as related secondary law. In Poland there is a rule that the government should send to the parliament important secondary low acts together…
DISCUSSIONCreated: 21/07/2020[Done 1.4] - Capture roles of participants within an activityAnalyze modeling of subdivisions in the context of ELI-DL
From Jaroslaw : "I understand that LegalResourceSubdivision as a subclass of Work should be used also for subdivisions of DraftLegislationWorks, but then it should be possible to use it as a domain of properties like "foresees_amendment_of". Currently one cannot specify that a particular subdivision…
DISCUSSIONCreated: 21/07/2020[Done 1.4] - Capture roles of participants within an activity
The participants in a LagislativeActivity have roles. It is not enough to say that person/entity participates in the activity, it has to be specified what role it plays – rapporteur, addressee for mandatory consultation, addressee for act etc.
