FLUX TL is currently the Transportation Layer of choice for a family of applications under the Integrated Fisheries Data Management Programme (IFDM). FLUX TL has been developed by F3 and is updated on a regular basis. It is the communications backbone for a number of applications currently (e.g. VINT, ACDR,…) and for others currently at development stage (e.g. FLEET, LICENCE, VMS ERS VIEWER). FLUX TL is by definition critical as it will become 'the' transportation layer for all exchanges of fisheries data and the cornerstone of the technical architecture of the IFDM programme; therefore it has become a key element of the business continuity.
