The European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA©) is a reference architecture for delivering interoperable digital public services across borders and sectors defining architecture building blocks (ABBs) organised in four views. It is technology and product neutral, follows a service-oriented architecture (SOA) and is aligned to the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) and TOGAF©.
The ISA² Interoperability Test Bed has entered into collaboration with ISA² Action 2016.32 (European Interoperability Architecture), the ISA² Action supporting the EIRA©, since early 2018 to deliver conformance testing services for solutions, Solution Architecture Templates (SATs) and reference architectures that are modelled based on the EIRA©. As a first important milestone, a new online conformance testing service has now been made available to address conformance testing for solutions. Validation of a solution is based on its model, using ArchiMate® and specifically the Open Group ArchiMate® Model Exchange File Format. This can be validated:
- Through the ISA² Interoperability Test Bed (account required in the EIRA© community).
- Via web form.
- Via GITB-compliant SOAP web service.
Work now continues to define the conformance testing rules for Solution Architecture Templates (SATs). More information on the EIRA© can be found in the EIRA©'s Joinup space.
