New test cases are now available to extend the conformance testing services available for eInvoicing specifications.
Since May 2017 the ISA² Interoperability Test Bed is being used by the CEF eInvoicing building block to realise its conformance testing service. This service allows solution providers, service providers and public entities to check the compliance of their eInvoicing solutions against the requirements of the European standard on eInvoicing. The standard, which foresees support for the UBL 2.1 and UN/CEFACT Cross Industry Invoice (CII) syntaxes, makes it possible for sellers to send invoices to multiple customers by using a single eInvoicing format and thus not having to adjust for individual trading parties.
A new milestone has now been achieved by extending the test cases available for parties using AS4 messaging with the CEF eDelivery Building Block. The new test cases allow systems under test to also receive invoices for validation based on predefined scenarios. Both the UBL 2.1 and CII syntaxes are supported with scenarios involving minimal, complete and also invalid invoices that need to be correctly treated. The new test cases extend the previous possibilities of submitting invoices through AS4 and AS2, or manually validating them via web form upload.
This achievement shows the continued successful use of the Test Bed by CEF eInvoicing in fostering interoperability in cross-border trading. The close collaboration now continues to ensure a smooth testing process and continued support for the eInvoicing community.
