CIRCABC (Communication and Information Resource Centre for Administrations, Businesses and Citizens) is an open-source, web-based application which enables geographically spread collaborative groups to share information and resources in private workspaces.

Recommendation 3 | Openness
CIRCABC is distributed as open source on the GitHUB platform. When using CIRCABC, Member States, Businesses, Citizens and European Institutions ensure the use of open source and avoid vender lock-in.

CIRCABC can be reused by public administrations as open source software (under EUPL license) and as a service over a web interface supporting collaboration, information and document exchange repository.

Recommendation 33 | Technical interoperability
CIRCABC uses open specifications which can be reused by public administrations in an effort to allow for technical interoperability. The underlying system is Alfresco and CIRCABC offers different interfaces in order to integrate, exchange documents and information with other tools.
Those interfaces can be consumed via standard protocols such as REST API, CMIS, WebDAV. -
