The Public Multilingual Knowledge Management Infrastructure (PMKI) platform implements the following:

Interoperability layers

Public Multilingual Knowledge Management Infrastructure (PMKI) platform implements the following EIF recommendations as explained below:

  • Recommendation 6 | Reusability

The final version of the PMKI platform (access, knowledge base, knowledge model and the according services) will be available and could be connected to other EU services such as CEF.AT service for sharing and reusing multilingual resources. It can be used for better leveraging data to support customisation and adaptation. PMKI will provide a set of parallel data to build/reinforce machine translation systems, in particular domain specific systems focused on specific terminology and text types for their use case (public procurement terminology, medical terminology, etc.).

  • Recommendation 16 | Multilingualism

PMKI datasets will support localisation of digital services (for example the reuse of PMKI product taxonomies for the implementation of an eCommerce solution).

  • Recommendation 30 | Semantic interoperability

PMKI aims to share maintainable and sustainable Language Resources making them interoperable in order to support language technology industry, and public administrations, with multilingual tools able to improve cross border accessibility of digital services.
