Mutual understanding and transposition of professional qualifications and experiences among Member States
One of the pillars of European policy, and in particular of the Single Market, is the free movement of workers throughout the Union. This aim, including the non-discrimination of workers legally employed in a country different from that of their origin, cannot be achieved without a framework allowing the mutual understanding and transposition of professional qualifications and experiences among Member States, to "match the skills of a jobseeker and the requirements of an employer regardless of the different languages they might use" (see the EURES Taxonomy description).
