Avenue d’Auderghem 45, 1040, Bruxelles

The conference offers an exceptional opportunity to share experiences and challenges about e-procurement developments in Europe. EU policy makers, senior representatives from the European Commission, the UK Department of Health, the Belgian government, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities, the Publications Office of the EU and other relevant players in the e-Procurement field have already agreed to participate and present their initiatives.

Invited speakers will focus on three main topics:

  • The move towards European Standards for Electronic Procurement
  • Strategic European Initiatives in the domain of electronic procurement
  • Emerging Standards-based Solutions

The agenda includes time for interaction among participants on themes concerning health care, service providers, enterprises, local and regional authorities. A concluding presentation will focus on challenges towards achieving international standards for e-Procurement.

The conference is the final event organised by the CEN BII (Business Interoperability Interfaces for Public Procurement in Europe) initiative.

The CEN BII Workshop has been the only EU initiative focused on the standardisation of the complete public procurement cycle and supports the legislative requirements of European Directives, facilitating the implementation of interoperable e-Procurement solutions across Europe.
