Live Q&A session: EU GovTech Boot camp: Northern Europe - Achieving Net-Zero - Supporting the green transition of services.

What are the GovTech Connect Boot Camps?

The GovTech Connect Boot camps are a new opportunity for European start-ups to develop and scale their government technology solutions and tackle key public sector challenges. Selected start-ups receive training on working with governmentinnovative business models and fundraising strategies, and work with citizens and experts to develop their solution. GovTech Connect will run four Boot camps covering all European regions and several industries across 2023 and 2024.

Boot camp on Northern Europe

Boot camp on Northern Europe will be focused on Achieving Net-Zero - Supporting the green transition of services in the Nordic-Baltic region. We are looking for new digital solutions addressing the following challenges:

  • Open Sustainability Data: how can we use technologies to promote transparency about sustainability outcomes in government projects?
  • Energy-Efficient Buildings: how can we use technology to improve energy efficiency in public buildings?
  • Sustainable Tourism: how can we utilize technology to enhance sustainable tourism and reduce its environmental impact?

To be eligible, start-ups need to be based or have offices in one of the following countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden. It is possible to apply by 5th May 2023 here.

The Q&A Session

We are hosting a virtual Q&A session on April 25th at 11:00AM-12:00PM CET for all potential applicants to learn more about the project and ask questions. Register here!

During the session we will:

  1. Outline the wider GovTech Connect project and the role the Boot camps play;
  2. Outline the Boot camp aims and objectives;
  3. Elaborate on the challenge areas that start-ups can apply to;
  4. Provide information about the Boot camp programme;
  5. Give an overview of the application process;
  6. Answer any questions!

More information on GovTech Connect

The European’s Commission DG Connect has recently launched GovTech Connect, a pilot project aiming to foster the digitisation of the public sector through the use of an innovative European GovTech Platform. GovTech Connect aims to support public administrations in the adoption of cost-effective and flexible digital solutions by articulating the GovTech ecosystem in the European public sector, over the course of two years. It is delivered by a Consortium led by Intellera Consulting, along with partners PUBLIC Deutschland, Lisbon Council, and Politecnico di Milano.
