Between 6 and 9 June 2021, the 2021 edition of the FOSSGIS Conference will be organised online. This four-day event provides users and developers a meeting place to discuss and exchange ideas on open source software and open data, with a focus on geographic information systems and on the OpenStreetMap project.
FOSSGIS Conference – 2021 Edition
The annual FOSSGIS Conference is a Swiss community-based event organised by the non-profit organisation FOSSGIS eV and the OpenStreetMap Community, with the support of the Institute for Software (University of Applied Sciences – OST Campus Rapperswill). The purpose of this conference is to promote open source Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and more specifically, promote the use of open source in:
- Web mapping
- Spatial data infrastructures
- Spatial data management
- Desktop GIS
- Free spatial data (such as OpenStreetMap)
The FOSSGIS conference will consist of various webinars and workshops, as well as a virtual networking environment where the participants can meet and engage with each other in a virtual reproduction of the OST Campus Rapperswill.
