OpenForum Academy Symposium

Straße des 17. Juni 135, 10623 Berlin, Germany

The OpenForum Academy (OFA) Symposium 2023, hosted by TU Berlin, aims to bridge the gap in academic discourse regarding the multifaceted impact of open source. Recognising the lack of a dedicated platform for exploring the social, political, and economic dimensions of open source, the OFA Symposium seeks to unite a diverse body of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, developers, and activists in Berlin. This confluence is designed to delve into the ways open source is revolutionising work practices, communication, technology, and societal structures. After its inaugural virtual event in 2021, the OFA Symposium is set to offer an interdisciplinary forum for discussion, learning, and networking, thereby fostering the growth of the research area and enhancing societal appreciation of Open Source's value.
