This year’s EU Datathon adventure started in February with the call to data enthusiasts worldwide to propose ideas for applications using open data from the EU institutions, agencies and bodies. SSI eIDAS Bridge reference implementation
The SSI eIDAS bridge is a pilot focusing on providing a cross-border identity solution compliant with the eIDAS trust framework. It opens a new way of implementing the eGovernment’s once-only principle. The eIDAS bridge refers to the component that will interconnect the SSI core solution to the eIDAS trust framework. It allows anyone to issue credentials that can be trusted and ensures that the trust services provided by service providers who comply with the requirements in the Regulation can be accepted as evidence in legal proceedings.
