Ende des Supports für Online-BKU Ende 2017
Bereits seit Ende 2015 haben Google (für Chrome) und Microsoft (für dessen Edge-Browser) die Unterstützung für Java-Applets im Browser deaktiviert. Mit der Veröffentlichung der Browserversion Firefox 52 im März 2017 wurden Java-Plugins und somit auch Java-Applets für den Browser Mozilla Firefox deaktiviert. Da die Online-Bürgerkartenumgebung (BKU) auf Java-Applets im Internet-Browser basiert und es nach derzeitigem Stand der Technik keine Alternativen zu Java-Plugins gibt, ist eine Anmeldung über diesen Weg leider nicht mehr möglich ist.
Bürgerinnen und Bürger bleibt die Möglichkeit für die Verwendung einer Smartcard als Bürgerkarte, eine lokal installierte Bürgerkartenumgebung einzusetzen oder alternativ die. Handy-Signatur zu nutzen.
Betreibern von Online-Applikationen, welche die Online BKU als Option zur Anmeldung anbieten, wird geraten, nur noch lokale BKUs und die Möglichkeit der Handy-Signatur anzubieten.
Mit 31.12.2017 wird aus dem genannten Grund, der Support für die Online-BKU eingestellt.

Support for MOCCA Online will be discontinued at the end of 2017
Already since the end of 2015, Google Chrome as well as Microsoft Edge has disabled the support for Java applets for their browser. With the release of the browser version Firefox 52 in March 2017, Java plugins and thus Java applets were deactivated for the browser Mozilla Firefox too. Since the online citizen card environment is based on Java applets integrated in the internet browser and according to the current state of the art, there are no alternatives to Java plugins, a login with the online BKU this way is no longer possible.
The citizen must therefore use a locally installed citizen card environment for the usage of the smart card as a citizen card. Besides, there is also the possibility to use the mobile phone signature.
Operators of online applications, which offer the online citizen card environment as an option, are advised to offer only local citizen card environments and the possibility of using the mobile phone signature.
Due to this reason, the support for the online citizen card environment will end at the 31.12.2017.

Dear Mocca Support Team!
Because of ending Mocca online support I have to ask, kow long will be Mocca BKU local supported? I`m using Mocca BKU for a long time and don´t want to miss it in future.
I ask therefore, because after installing Java 9 Mocca local BKU don`t work anymore. Mocca BKU will start (Java Webstart Launcher), but it isn`t possible to look persolal bindings, hardware, itd.
If there will be also a EOL for Mocca local BKU, please tell me and ohter users, what should we use instead of Mocca on PC.
As an Austrian, who uses the eCard as personal identifier, will be only Handysignature as digital identity. In my opinion we go backwards.
I hope there is or you have a better possibility for digital signature in the future, as Handysignature.

Ob lokale-, oder online-BKU ist im Grunde irrellevant - wichtig ist, dass die BKU mit Verwendung eines Kartenlesegeräts über den PC generell erhalten bleibt! Es gibt unzählige Leute, die sich dem (gefährlichen) Zwang der Android-Handy-Hype (Handy-Signatur) nicht unbedingt unterwerfen wollen; wie kämen die dazu sich (wegen z.B. behördlicher Eingaben) teure Handy-Geräte und (noch teurere) Mobilfunk-Verträge leisten zu müssen!?
