Webinar - EOSC Interoperability Framework Consultation

Published on: 21/03/2022 Event Archived

On 25 March 2022, the EOSC Future Team is organising a webinar to discuss about a draft proposal for an EOSC Interoperability Framework. This webinar is intended as an ideal platform to collect feedback from research communities to validate their approach to interoperability.

EOSC Interoperability Framework

EOSC Future is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project that is implementing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The EOSC will give European researchers access to a wide web of FAIR data and related services.

Enabling interoperability across resources and services is key to building an EOSC that is fit for purpose. Where appropriate, they hope to formally adopt existing guidelines, schemas, and APIs tailored for EOSC. This will be possible following the development of a defined governance model that will allow community guidelines to be proposed as EOSC Interoperability Guidelines.

As part of a broader public consultation process, this webinar will lay the foundations for discussions on the proposed concept of interoperability and guidelines for a fit-for-purpose EOSC. During this webinar, the EOSC Future team will present:

  • The draft proposal for an EOSC Interoperability Framework;
  • The inputs they hope to collect through the public consultation.

Afterwards, there will be time for participants to ask questions for clarification and to take part in an initial discussion.

This event is open to any interoperability enthusiasts or researchers working on interoperability and it is planned on 25 March 2022 from 14.00 to 15.30 CET.

Online registration is mandatory.
