“Interoperable Europe: From Vision to Reality”, the latest edition of the annual SEMIC conference, returns to Brussels on 27 June. Registration for the SEMIC pre-conference workshops on 26 June has equally started. 

In collaboration with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Interoperable Europe’s flagship event on semantic interoperability will explore the wider context of the Interoperable Europe Act and its future implementation through the development, share and reuse of interoperability solutions, services and products. 

The keynote speech of SEMIC 2024 will focus on what it means to successfully implement interoperability solutions with AI, after which two high level panels will be held on interoperability and AI implementations across the EU. In addition, parallel sessions will tackle topics such as: 
- semantic specifications,  
- digital ready policy making,  
- interoperability in data spaces,  
- interoperable data quality for AI trustworthiness, and  
- AI for interoperability. 

Next to these and other sessions, exhibition booths will showcase demos and success stories from industry and academia around public sector interoperability. 

Join the growing community 

Naturally, SEMIC 2024 will also be the place where policy makers, public sector employees, academics, or workers from the private or non-profit sector will meet again and expand their professional network. 

Many of them also join the SEMIC pre-conference workshops one day before the main conference for more in-depth and technically focused discussions. 

The previous editions of SEMIC conference attracted an ever-increasing number of participants from all over Europe and beyond, with a record number of 458 on-site visitors and 803 followers online.
