On 12 May 2011 the Regional Centre for Pedagogical Documentation (CRDP) of the Aix-Marseille Education Authority signed with an eServices designer/provider for the public sector, a co-edition partnership agreement aimed at supplying primary schools with a tailor-made educational environment based on the open source solution 'Inconito - Digital school'.

The Inconito project is hosted on the forge of ADULLACT, the French Association of Developers and Users of Free Software for Administrations and Local Government, and the latest software versions can be downloaded from there as well as from the Inconito website.

The development of digital tool use in primary schools prompted the designers and providers of digital service platforms to propose solutions including tools adapted to this level of education. This includes in particular secured access services to qualified online editorial resources that are to serve as teaching resources for school pupils, both during lessons and outside the classroom.

By signing the partnership agreement, the parties seek to propose a teaching environment based on 'Inconito - Digital schools' that will include a resource access module suited to the particular needs of primary education.

The new solution is planned to be made available nation-wide through a unique portal as from the school year 2011-2012.
