The EU-US eHealth/Health IT Cooperation Assembly conference was held on 15 May 2013 in Dublin, as part of the eHealth Week. This conference aimed at enhancing cooperation between the EU and the US on eHealth. Drawing on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed between the two parties in 2010, the conference brought together practitioners from both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to the welcoming and concluding speeches by Peteris Zilgalvis and Benoit Abeloos from DG CNECT, European Commission, the conference consisted of fifteen presentations divided into two plenary sessions; International Interoperability of EHRs and EU-US shared challenges related to healthcare workforce IT Skills.
