On the 19th and 20th of May 2014 the DATEX II User Forum will take place in Prague.
The event will be a perfect opportunity to develop and update your DATEX II expertise and to link with the growing community, also influencing the way ahead. The forum is meant to bring together a broad audience from technical to Management level, from new to experienced users.
Datex II
Delivering European Transport Policy in line with the ITS Action Plan of the European Commission requires co-ordination of traffic management and development of seamless pan European services. With the aim to support sustainable mobility in Europe, the European Commission has been supporting the development of information exchange mainly between the actors of the road traffic management domain for a number of years. In the road sector, the DATEX standard was developed for information exchange between traffic management centres, traffic information centres and service providers and constitutes the reference for applications that have been developed in the last 10 years.
New users will be informed on the pros and cons of DATEX II, how to make best use of DATEX II, how to fulfil the obligations of the ITS Directive by using DATEX II.
For the more experienced and technical users, the programme offers lots of possibilities to discuss the DATEX II state of the art, its many applications and its impact on the efficiency of traffic management and travel information
