The new IT-standardiseringsrådet is up and running under the umbrella of the Swedish Standards Institute (SIS). The first work of the new council is already on track and is dealing with the disclosure of financial information. The IT standardiseringsrådet keeps pace with developments in the field to contribute to standardization.

Since 2013 SIS is responsible for IT standardisation for the Swedish public sector. SIS aims at enhancing interoperability in information exchange between the public authorities and businesses by supporting the development of common standards.

The mission of The IT standardiseringsrådet is to lead the standardisation issues and promote the Swedish positions in international collaborations. The vision is extending to a pan-European level and the goal is to join and lead the development of IT-standards in the European Union. In this vein, there is a channel of collaboration established between the IT standardiseringsrådet and the ISA Programme of the European Commission.

More information can be found on the IT-standardiseringsrådet web page.
