The recently adopted National Interoperability Framework of Spain has now been published in English.

The document sets out three basic principles:

1. interoperability as an integral quality
2. the multidimensional character of interoperability
3. the approach of multilateral solutions

In the Semantic Interoperability chapter, the framework stipulates that a set of semantic interoperability assets for common interest shall be defined. Corresponding interchange data models will be established and published by the respective Public Administration bodies and Public Law Entities in their respective domains. The data models will be published through the Semantic Interoperability Centre of the Spanish Administration.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of the Presidency published the National Security Framework in its English version.
