In the context of its Action 2.15 on e-Documents, the ISA Programme of the European Commission has recently released the reports of two new studies:

  1. Analysis of structured e-Document formats used in Trans-European Systems, May 2014. https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/document/study-structured-e-document-formats-used-trans-european-systems.
This study contains the analysis of twelve existing families of structured e-Document formats used for exchanging information between public administrations in Europe in connection to twelve so-called trans-European systems.
  2. Guidelines for public administrations on e-Document engineering methods, June 2014. https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/node/93213.
This report is a study and pilot on e-Document engineering methods. It elicits generic requirements for e-Document engineering and assesses to which extent standard e-Document engineering methods can be used by public administrations. The report also presents the lessons learnt from a mini-pilot on e-Document engineering that was carried out in collaboration with the e-SENS WP6.2 Competence Cluster on Semantics, processes and Documents.

A Webinar will be organised in September 2014 to present the results of these studies.
