BioAPI C++
This software package provides an Object Oriented BioAPI using C++ 11 language. The API has been implemented according to ISO/IEC 30106-1 and -4 standards. All interfaces needed for developing biometric applications, conforming to OOBioAPI, have been defined in this reference implementation. Press Note: Open Source Reference Implementations for Object Oriented BioAPI After the complete definition of BioAPI 2.0, standardized under ISO/IEC 19784-1, Purdue University (http://www.bspalabs.org/, USA) and Carlos III University of Madrid (http://guti.uc3m.es/, Spain) worked in developing open source…

EINSTEIN - Expert System for an Intelligent Supply of Thermal Energy in Industry and other Large Scale Applications
For optimising thermal energy supply in industry, a holistic integral approach is required that includes possibilities of demand reduction by heat recovery and process integration, and by an intelligent combination of efficient heat and cold supply technologies. EINSTEIN is a tool-kit for fast and high quality thermal energy audits in industry, composed by an audit guide describing the methodology and by a software tool that guides the auditor through all the audit steps. The expert system software tool is available for free, as an open source software project. This type of software…

Access to Biological Collection Data, Extension for Geosciences (ABCD-EFG)
The Access to Biological Collections Data (ABCD) Schema is an XML schema definition for the exchange of primary biodiversity data (specimens and observations). More information can be found here.
EFG extends this standard to include the elements required for publishing data items typical for paleontological specimen collections and mineralogical collections. It is used in the GeoCASe network.

Access to Biological Collection Data (ABCD)
Scope Primary biodiversity data is a general term for information documenting the planet’s biodiversity, where each record represents the existence of a particular organism at a given location at a point in time. These data are scattered throughout numerous collections and databases worldwide, making it difficult to find all information available on, for instance, a certain species or a particular region. Several international networks and initiatives share a vision of free and open access to these resources and are working together to connect these heterogeneous data sources. The Access to…
