Learning Path

Welcome to the European Interoperability Academy: Interoperability Foundation learning path!

This certified learning path is a collection of three online courses enabling you to acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of interoperability in the European Union.

The learning path covers topics such as :

• why interoperability is necessary ;
• the interoperability environment;
• relevant European Commission initiatives.

Starting with the course "Interoperability: an introduction", you will delve into the basics of interoperability and its need. You will then continue with the "European Interoperability Framework (EIF)" e-learning course, which will give you an overview of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF), its principles and recommendations,. Finally, the "Interoperable Europe Act"* course will provide you with an introduction and components of the Interoperable Europe Act.

The learning path will also help you to identify further interoperability courses for the implementation of European digital services.

As you progress through the Learning Path, your knowledge and skills will be assessed after each individual course. Upon completion, you'll earn certification in Interoperability Foundation.

This Learning Path is certificated. 

To obtain your certificate, you need to:

1. successfully finish all three courses and receive a certificate for each course;
2. submit all 3 certificates via email to iop-academy@ec.europa.eu.

After completing the above steps, you will receive your certification via email.
