The Location Interoperability Framework Observatory (LIFO) monitors the implementation of location interoperability good practices in European public administrations, based on the level of adoption of recommendations in the EULF Blueprint.
The overview of 2020 location interoperability status in Cyprus is based on the information provided by Department of Information Technology Services
LIFO 2020 Cyprus
Cyprus is positioned close to the European averages in all focus areas except under “Governance, Partnerships and Capabilities”, where there is a more significant gap.
Under the “Policy and Strategy Alignment” focus area, the gap against the European average is minimal.
The gap with the European average is also quite narrow in the “Return on Investment” focus area.
“Governance, Partnership and Capabilities” is the focus area where the gap against the European average is most evident.
The second widest gap against the European average is in “Digital Government Integration”. Cyprus’s positioning is lower due to the limited use of an open and collaborative methodology to design and improve location-enabled digital public services.
LIFO index for 2020
The value of the overall LIFO index combining the scores for all focus areas is 0.48, compared with the European average of 0.55. This reflects a few gaps in terms of location interoperability
