Mr. Rossi was previously a researcher at the Faculty of Computer Science, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen.
His research interests are in the areas of software engineering that deal with free/libre open source software development models and software evolution, software repository mining, and, recently, in cyber-physical systems testing/simulations with focus on smart grids.
He has participated in important European (COSPA, STREP FP6) and Italian projects (ArtDeco, FIRB 36 months), and has been involved as an active member or reviewer in several conference program committees (OSS, PROFES, ESEM, IJCNN).
