The results of the vote at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on Microsoft's controversial proposal for a standard format of electronic documents are still unclear. EU member states however are split over the format. Denmark, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom are among the countries that voted No with comments. This votes ensures that technical objections to OOXML will have to be resolved before ISO approves it as a standard.
