In this webinar co-organised by the SEMIC and BLSI communities, we will present and comment on the current iteration of the ontology as well as discuss its relation to other semantic assets.

It will take place on 9 November 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm, register here!

About the project:

Regulatory reporting is the periodical provision of structured or unstructured data (qualitative or quantitative) from concerned private and public organisations, to competent authorities (at EU or national level) as required by the requirements set in specific legislation.

To optimise this process, the European Commission, in collaboration with the professors: Monica Palmirani (University of Bologna) and Ashwin Ittoo (University of Liege), launched the Study On Regulatory reporTIng Standards (SORTIS). The project aims to define a vocabulary for regulatory reporting metadata and develop standard formulations of reporting requirements and related metadata.

By populating the ontology with reporting information contained in the existing acquis, we would obtain a queriable knowledge graph. This could be used to automatically feed regulatory reporting databases across different domains and improve the data management of regulatory knowledge.

This webinar's purpose is to validate SORTIS' intermediate results focusing on the Regulatory Reporting Metadata Vocabulary (RRMV).
