Description: The study summarises the work done over the course of this project and presents the main outcomes and findings. It aims to provide guidance and recommendations to public administrations developing and operating integrated public services on how to approach organisational and governance issues related to the development of these services.

Integrated public service governance (IPSG) implements the following recommendations as explained below:

Recommendation 25  | Interoperability layer: Integrated public service governance
By providing detail on what decisions need to be taken, the recommendations 1, 2 and 4 related to IPSG ensure interoperability and coordination over time, and in particular call for an incremental approach to developing integrated public services, and for the involvement of the private sector when possible, as well as the indirect involvement of political stakeholders.

✅ Recommendation 26  | Interoperability layer: Integrated public service governance
ISPG recommendations 3 and 5 ensure the establishment of interoperability agreements, complemented by operational agreements and change management procedures, as they call respectively for the assessment of the delivery of the integrated public service within the existing legal framework and for flexibility and consistency when selecting standards.
