The new Joinup collection on Better legislation for smoother implementation is now launched!

Whether you are an EU or national policy maker, public service manager, IT specialist, data scientist, IT architect or simply curious about the way legislation can foster the effective implementation of public policies, this community is for you.

You will learn about best practices around future-proof and interoperable legislation, share your own experience, connect with other practitioners, and stay tuned on related news and events.

Joinup is a space for sharing and we are inviting everybody to provide content that could be interesting for our community. We – the Legal Interoperability Team in the European Commission – are working on the following topics to start with:

  • We are planning to invite you to webinars on Better Legislation to discuss interesting use cases from Europe and beyond. Our first session will involve the Japan Ministry of Economy. Check out their approach on Governance innovation here.
  • To share our findings, our Joinup collection will include a knowledge hub gathering different material on how better legislation enhances public policy implementation, including articles, use cases and inspiring practices as well as solutions and tools in co-creation with you.
  • We are working on a light training on legal screening for policy makers to ensure legal interoperability of EU legislations.
  • We are hoping for many interactive discussions on topics such as legislations as code, one-in-one-out, open data in governments, multidisciplinary policy-making, etc. Take our short poll Your ideas: Our plan!  to express your interest in these topics and suggest new ones! Or just go ahead, and launch a new discussion right away on this community!
  • Is there something missing from the above offer? Leave a comment below or send a message to EU legal interoperability.

To stay tuned and take part in the discussions, join us here and subscribe to our newsletter!
